Five baby bunnies, one fine day
Hold up five fingers
Hopped to the carrot patch, far away.
Bounce hand behind back
Mama bunny went, "Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!"
Stomp foot on ground four times
But only four came back to the stump ...
Bring back four fingers and repeat down to one.
After all the babies are gone, mama bunny enjoys the peace and quiet for a while. She takes a nap, reads some Richard Adams and has a cup of coffee. When she feels like she has the strength to go on...
Mama Bunny goes, "Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!"
And all the babies came back to the stump!
I put all the baby bunnies on top of her at the end.
This rhyme was adapted from Wendy's Flannel Board Fun page.
Thanks to Mary from Miss Mary Liberry (best name ever!!!)
for hosting this weeks:
This is so so cute! I hope you don't mind if I recreate it for my storytimes. :)
