ReplyDeleteWow, Mr Keith, your story times are a blast! I really like your teaching style and believe this works the best with young kids. You inspire me so much and I made many of your unique felt images. Thank you very much for sharing your talent with us! Please, keep posting and stay safe and healthy!
ReplyDeleteMr. Keith, I have been doing storytime research for my internship at the local public library (as an MLIS student). Your storytimes give me hope. The nom nom nom nom noises you made in one storytime where you were talking about eating donuts and the comment about blood diamonds made me laugh so hard. I have shared those clips with everyone I know. I hope as a librarian I can be as engaging as you are. You're doing a brilliant job.
ReplyDeleteYour friend, Nik
PS your dinosaur is 10/10
Nik, I appreciate your comment and PR so hard. My best advice to anyone doing storytimes is to let your actual self shine through instead of doing a performance of what you/others think kids want. Make sure to watch the last minute of my letter b storytime, it is one of my proudest achievements. https://youtu.be/AVGvbfaCT94?t=1640 Thanks for reaching out and I'm sure you are going to be an awesome librarian. Keep it weird, yo.
