Letter G Storytime

 

G is for Grapes!

We pretend to pick a bunch of grapes off the vine. Then we pluck individual grapes from our imaginary bunch using thumb and pointer finger. Yum.

G is for Gumball!

We sing:

Sticky, sticky bubblegum, 

(rubbing hands together as if stuck)

Bubblegum, bubblegum.

Sticky, sticky bubblegum,

Sticking to your head!

(pretend hands are stuck to your head)

Ready……unstick!

(release them and start rubbing and singing again)

Sticking to your hips!

Sticking to your feet!

Sticking to your face!

G is for Glue!

Glue is sticky like gum.

G is for Gingerbread!

We pretend to run and run as fast as we can.

G is for Glasses!

We make circles with our fingers and look through them.

G is for Guitar!

We play air guitars. First we strum an acoustic guitar and then we shred on an electric one.

G is for Ghost!

Say "Boo!"

G is for Grasshopper!

We crouch down low and...HOP!

G is for Gorilla!

We beat on our chests and make a deep grunt like a big gorilla. 

Then we squat down, beat our chests and make high pitched grunts like baby gorillas.

G is for George!

We go "Oo Oo, Ahh Ahh" and wave our arms like monkeys.

G is for Goats!

We do the Goatey Pokey:

Put your Hooves in, Take your Hooves out,

Put your Hooves in and shake them all about.

You do the goatey pokey 

and you turn yourself around.

That’s what it’s all about! 

Clap! Clap!

 

Horns, Tail

G is for Guinea Pig!

We make a guinea pig sound. "Ree, ree!"
