We pretend to be bananas and do the chant, "Bananas Unite!"
We pretend to bounce a ball with each of our hands one at a time, both at the same time and then alternating hands. Then we grab the ball and shoot the hoop. Swish!
B is for Bear!
We do the "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear" rhyme.
B is for Big Bed!
We either sing "10 in the Bed" or I shorten it to "5 in the Bed."
B is for Bees!
I lift up the beehive to reveal the bees hidden behind.
I get the bees off the board and act like they are trying to sting and tickle me.
Then we practice the rhyme, "Here is the Beehive."
B is for Bluebirds!
We pretend our fingers are birds and fly them around. Then we practice the "Two Little Bluebirds" song.
B is for Bubbles!
We pretend to pop imaginary bubbles.
B is for Bunny!
We pretend our hand is a bunny and have it hop all around. I explain that bunnies like to run and hide if they hear a scary animal. We pretend our bunny sees a fox and hides in its hole. Then we practice the rhyme:
Here is a bunny with ears so funny,
(make bunny/peace sign with bent fingers)
And here is his hole in the ground.
(make big circle with arm on hip)
When a noise he hears,
He pricks up his ears,
(extend bunny fingers fully)
And he jumps in that hole in the ground.
(put bunny fingers in arm hole)
