Bubble Bubble Pop!

This one came from the folks at jbrary. Watch them sing it to learn the motions. Despite its blatant perpetuation of science myth (that fish make air bubbles when breathing), I love using this at storytime.

One little red fish
Swimming in the water,
Swimming in the water,
Swimming in the water.

make fish with hands and swim back and forth
One little red fish
Swimming in the water,
Bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble...POP!
make bubbles with fingers and clap on "Pop!"

One little yellow fish
Swimming in the water,
Swimming in the water,
Swimming in the water.

One little yellow fish

Swimming in the water,
Bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble...POP!

One little blue fish
Swimming in the water,
Swimming in the water,
Swimming in the water.

One little blue fish

Swimming in the water,
Bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble...POP!

I love this song because of its adaptability. You can add verses by changing the colors of the fish or counting the fish. You can also do any creature that can swim in the water: whales, sharks, jellyfish! A great bath-time song using any toys your child has in the tub...

Hey! This week, I am hosting Flannel Friday!!! Go me.
